About Pragmatic Spark Collective
Hi, I’m Kathryn,
founder of Pragmatic Spark Collective.
Pragmatic Spark Collective grew from a simple observation: many people are left to navigate complicated systems while already overwhelmed.
I know what it is like to sit in meetings full of jargon, to second-guess decisions, and to carry the mental load of trying to get things right for yourself and your family. As an AuDHD family I have been there, I live it, I get it.
I bring a calm, creative approach to helping people make sense of information and decide what to do next. I’m comfortable in complexity and enjoy getting into the detail so you don’t have to, gathering and interpreting information in ways that feels manageable and clear.
A psychologist once described me as having a “thirsty brain,” and the phrase stuck. I’m naturally curious and drawn to understanding how systems work, where they break down, and how they can work better for the people inside them.
My background spans more than a decade in community engagement, communications, leadership, and systems-focused roles across government and not-for-profit organisations.
I am currently undertaking postgraduate studies in counselling and psychotherapy. Alongside this, I bring lived experience of neurodiversity, mental health conditions, trauma, burnout, low demand parenting navigating “school can’t” days, caring for family members through terminal and chronic health conditions. These experiences shape my understanding of how exhausting it can be to advocate, interpret reports, and make decisions under pressure.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where we can work through competing options at a pace that fits your capacity, values, and real life.
The name Pragmatic Spark Collective came from three of my core life values:
be practical (Pragmatic)
approach life with curiousity (Spark)
collaboration and co-regulation beat rumination (Collective).
